Capras Regional Community Program Overview
The Capras Regional Community Program is designed to provide upskilling, knowledge, guidance and support for our young men & women, regionally based throughout Central Queensland.
Using Rugby League as a Vehicle for Growth
Utilising rugby league as the vehicle and by partnering with likeminded, community focused organisations a consistent year-round program
focuses on developing and mentoring our young men & women through a sporting and Wellbeing & Education Program.
Mentorship and Community Engagement
Coach’s and players from the Capras & NRL deliver a powerful and positive message with the intent of creating improved rugby league players, and most importantly better people who reinvest into their community.
Expanding Reach Through Local Partnerships
By forming local partnerships the opportunity is created to conduct a variety of events and programs such as clinics, Wellbeing and Education workshops and positive mentorship to regional locations throughout Central Queensland including the Gladstone, Callide and Dawson Valley’s and the Central Highland and Central West regions. Our SMW Group
Community Care Van travels far and wide to accommodate our programs.
Objectives
- To create a more unified community throughout the Central Queensland region by providing increased access to positive mentoring programs to a wider geographic audience.
- Highlight future pathways on and off the field for all of Central Queensland by linking businesses and mentors to our regionally based communities.
